Applebee's Grill + Bar

Our family got the “All you can eat” deal. Well, let me tell you.. it was very delicious. Look, I’m not comparing Applebee’s with any other restaurant. The food was great, including ribs, chicken, shrimp and honestly I’m going to keep coming with my family for this deal. 4 out of 5 is an amazing review coming from me, specially if it is a Food Chain Restaurant.

First time visiting this Applebee’s and it was truly a great experience. We arrived around 2:00 pm and planned to sit at the bar. When we first walked in I was not entirely sure what to expect. Then Josy came from behind the bar to greet and seat us and immediately the atmosphere changed for the better. We decided to stay at the bar since we were really there to try the new Melted Cheeseburger I had seen in the commercials. From the very beginning Josy was everything rolled into one. She was our hostess bartender server and honestly felt like a friend. I ordered the new Woodford Old Fashioned which had not been on the menu very long. I joked that I did not want to be the guinea pig for a brand new cocktail and was ready to order something more familiar. Josy instantly put me at ease. She knew the ingredients and confidently made the drink and it was absolutely delicious. Her attention to detail really stood out. When there were no short cocktail straws she searched everywhere for them. I told her a regular straw was fine and by the time I ordered my second drink she had cut regular straws in half. Such a small thoughtful touch but it showed how much she truly cared. When we ordered food my wife asked for her sandwich without bacon since she does not eat pork. I asked if the sandwich would be cheaper without it and if not whether my wife’s bacon could be added to my sandwich. Josy made it happen effortlessly. Throughout the meal she checked on us often and made sure we were comfortable and happy. I honestly cannot remember ever being treated this well at an Applebee’s. When we paid and started to leave Josy thanked us for coming in and invited us back saying she hoped to see us again and it felt sincere. In a time when customer service can feel rushed or impersonal this experience was a breath of fresh air. I cannot speak for every employee at this location but if they are anything like Josy then this team deserves major praise. Josy is a superstar and should absolutely be leading customer service training. To top it all off the food was delicious and the restaurant was spotless. The Apple Valley Applebee’s truly set the bar and Josy is the reason we will be back.

Been to lots of Applebee's over the years in various states, but have to say this is my new favorite after visiting it several times now. The place can be busy but have never had to wait for a table. And even with most of the tables filled, the noise level is not too loud so a conversation can easily be had. One of our servers has been CJ, who is top notch. He's personable, professional, and seems to really care about all of the customers that he comes across. It's hard to pass up the 2 for $25, and this price point includes a sufficient # of tasty entrees, some with a slight upcharge, but that's OK. The food tends to come out quickly, and it's not unusual to have so much on the plate that some ends up in a take home container which makes the 2 for $25 even that much more economical.

A place where you can enjoy the food because you didn't see it being prepared. The food is tasty, but the restaurant is kind of gross. There were particles floating in my water when I swished the ice around with the straw. That was a huge turnoff. Garbage and debris around the floor. The employees were personable and friendly, but she was touching the food with her thumbs when she brought it. I didn't mind because they have a handy hand washing sign in the bathroom, but I know that would bother some people. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking.

The staff was friendly, but the food was later than their estimated time promised for our curbside take out order and they didn't pay attention to the provided vehicle information and had to ask our names for the order for which we were waiting. The food was delicious, though.

I had a very relaxed and delicious lunch with a friend today at the Applebee’s Restaurant in Apple Valley, MN. We ordered a “Pick Two” full-size entrées with two side salads or an appetizer for the value price of only $32.00. The food and service were both great and they gave my friend a complementary brownie dessert for her birthday.

We entered Applebee's and had a very short wait. We were seated at a clean and comfy booth. The server took our beverage and app orders quickly. Soon afterwards we had drinks and a sampler of appetizers. The spinach and artichoke dip and chips was tasty. My family enjoyed the buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, mini quesadillas and celery too. My husband really enjoyed the shrimp and steak. The rice was cooked well, yet needed more flavor. My son and I thought the burgers were delicious. The fries were good. The lettuce was iceberg, which my daughter and I don't like as much. We prefer a greener option. My other kids liked their yogurt and strawberries, mac and cheese and taco. We had a great meal and experience overall. There are several televisions with different sporting events to watch for those interested as well as background pictures of the Vikings and parks in the area etc . .
